About Gala Events & Weddings

It all began when a couple of dear friends needed some event planning support 2 months before their wedding day. With over 20 years of event-planning experience, Alegria Sita jumped in to guide her friends with the many details that go into planning a wedding. She absolutely loved being a part of her friends special day, and decided that she wanted to create her own business as an event planner. In 2010, Gala Beleza Events & Weddings, was born.
At Gala Events and Weddings, we operate with the belief that beauty, meaning, and inspiration are at the heart of every celebration. We value our clients and aim to exceed their expectations with attention to detail.
On October 6, 2013, we launched our new brand, Gala Events & Weddings. We wanted to simplify the company name. While we've dropped the Beleza in our name, we maintain our standard of beauty from the inside out at every event.
We are committed to continuing education, keeping up with the latest in
event trends, technology, and resources. We make it a point to attend
the Event Solutions/Catersource Conferences
annually to continue building our international network, and to learn from the BEST
in the events industry. We are also proud members of ISES (International Special Events Society).
Locally, we are active members of the Arcata Chamber of Commerce and the Wedding and Event Industry Professionals NorCal. Participating in these groups helps Gala Events & Weddings build relationships with other local Business Owners, and stay at the forefront of the local events industry. It is an honor for us to be connected to so many talented vendors in Humboldt County!
