My partner and I are SO HAPPY we decided to hire Gala Events for our day of coordination. Alegria was such a blessing in our experience. I am getting teary even as I write this, thinking of her support. We are a queer couple. Alegria's support and expertise made the path to our wedding day manageable. She was responsive and loving about our concerns related to potential homophobia we might experience through our process. We never once felt othered or treated differently as a queer couple, something we are sensitive to. My spouse is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, and Alegria was honoring and respectful. Alegria was the calm in the storm. She joined us in grounded decision making, was thoughtful and informed, and really demonstrated so much care during the hard parts. She and her staff were so so kind and thoughtful, so supportive. They made us feel special while reducing decision fatigue and stress. She worked with our vendors beautifully, and the day of we were able to truly relax and be present. We could not have asked for better. Thank you, Gala Events!! xo

To celebrate our 25 year wedding anniversary, Alegria helped us personalize a meaningful ceremony. Through thought-provoking questions, she guided us and helped us to reflect on our journey of marriage, and what we would like to recommit to. Alegria's attention to detail and thoughtfulness allowed my husband and I to be fully present with each other and our guests.
We are so grateful that we found Alegria to help plan and officiate our wedding in Trinidad, CA. I knew it wouldn’t be easy to plan a wedding during a pandemic. She made us feel comfortable that we could maintain a safe environment for our small number of guests. She was very organized, professional, kind and eager to work with us to create a beautiful, unique event for our nuptials. Alegria supported us through the entire planning process. Our ceremony and vows were thoughtfully designed with her guidance and resources. We loved her vendor recommendations too. One week before our wedding date the venue cancelled our reservation. Alegria was on the phone with me right away to help figure out a solution to find a new location. We found a new location with an ocean view and had the ceremony outside right before a beautiful sunset. Despite having to change our original wedding plans, it was truly a memorable wedding day thanks to Gala Events and Weddings.

We contacted Alegria to officiate our wedding for August of 2020, but when the pandemic happened, we had to come up with an alternative. Alegria was professional the whole time. We ultimately decided on a Zoom ceremony. Alegria was available every step of the way, and was knowledgeable about the whole process, even within the uncharted territory of digital weddings. The ceremony was seamless, and months later, our friends still talk about it. We feel like we were able to have the wedding we wanted for a fraction of the cost. Overall, it was really nice and we recommend working with Alegria for all of your wedding needs.
