We love to have fun while we bring your celebration to life. Skilled in hospitality, attention to detail, styling, and problem solving, you can relax knowing your event will be tended to from early morning set up, until the cake has been cut. You may even find us shaking what our mamas gave us while we tidy up before we depart.
Making Dreams Come True
I love events! Weddings, parties, conferences, festivals.. you name it... I love working behind the scenes to ensure a well-organized, fantabulous time! I've been planning events since I was 13 years old. In January 2011, I decided to make a career out of my passion for parties, enrolling in a Wedding & Event Planning Certification Course through Lovegevity Wedding Planning Institute. I completed my coursework with honors, and Gala Events & Weddings was born!
As a non-denominational Officiant I have been marrying couples since 2008. I am passionate about working with couples to create heart-felt, meaningful ceremonies that authentically embody your personalities and are true to your values. I know I've succeeded when you and your guests walk away from your ceremony wowed by how "you" it was!
I've lived in Humboldt County, behind the redwood curtain, for over 20 years. I graduated from Humboldt State University with a BA in 2004, and decided to make Humboldt my home. I've worked for local schools, government, private, and non-profit sectors organizing events such as conferences, professional development trainings, retreats, multi-agency community service days, parties and festivals. From 2015 - 2018, I served as a Board Member for the Eureka-Humboldt Convention and Visitor's Bureau. In 2019, I joined the Board for the Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation where I continue to serve.
When I'm not planning events or officiating ceremonies, I enjoy dancing, adventures in the outdoors (particularly on our beaches and in our redwood forests), and traveling the world, balancing all of these things with being an awesome momprenuer!
